While the pivots / spikes also appear to be quite old, they may be newer than the hinges. All 4 fit the hinges, but they may be a little loose. The hinges are rusty, and they are possibly from the late 1700s or early 1800s. But probably from the 1800s for sure - based on my conversations with several hardware dealers. The hinges are a recent acquisition and we are basing the above on our observations, as well as the opinions of others.
We are by no means experts. Also, there are some chips on the edges of the iron one hinge as a significant; however, there are no cracks as far as we can see.
